Payment Connect

Personal customers (i.e. Hong Kong residents holding a Hong Kong identity card) can make an instant RMB transfer from HKD or RMB bank account to Mainland China with Payment Connect by using Net Banking or PBHK Digi mobile application. To use this service, you need to set up the transfer limit via Net Banking or any of the Bank’s branches in advance.​

 

  • Transfer to personal accounts with designated payee banks in mainland China
  • Transfer funds to payee via phone number or account number
  • The daily transfer limit is HKD10,000 or equivalent
  • The yearly transfer limit is HKD200,000 or equivalent

 

Transfer via Net Banking

Step 1: Log on to Net Banking. Tap 'Fund Transfer' and then select 'Payment Connect.

Step 2: Select 'Transfer From Account' and the method to make the transfer.

Step 3a: If you select to transfer via 'Phone number', please enter the payee's phone number, select the payee's bank and enter transfer amount.

Step 3b: If you select to transfer via 'Account number', please enter the payee account details as required correctly by confirming with the payee in advance and transfer amount.

Step 4: Review the details. The exchange rate will be displayed if currency exchange is involved. After you tap 'Confirm' and complete the two-factor authentication, your transfer will be transmitted to the payee's bank or institution.

Step 5: You can save the transfer page by tapping the ‘Print’ button at the bottom of the screen for future reference .

 

Transfer via PBHK Digi mobile application

Step 1: Log on to the PBHK Digi mobile application. Tap 'Transfer & Pay' and then select 'Payment Connect.

Step 2: Select the method to make the transfer.

Step 3a: If you select to transfer via 'Phone number', please enter the payee's phone number, select the payee's bank and enter transfer amount.

Step 3b: If you select to transfer via 'Account number', please enter the payee account details as required correctly by confirming with the payee in advance and transfer amount.

Step 4: Review the details. The exchange rate will be displayed if currency exchange is involved. After you tap 'Confirm' and complete the two-factor authentication, your transfer will be transmitted to the payee's bank or institution.

Step 5: You can save the transfer page for future reference by tapping the ‘Save’ button on the top right corner on the screen.

Risk Disclosure:

- The value of foreign currency will be subject to the risk of exchange rate fluctuation. Customer may suffer loss in principal due to the exchange rate fluctuation if he/she chooses to convert foreign currency to Hong Kong Dollar or other currencies.
- RMB is currently not freely convertible currency. Conversion of RMB for customer is subject to the requirements specified by relevant authorizes from time to time and/or the Bank’s arrangement.
