Notice Related to Outsourcing of Public Bank (Hong Kong) Credit Card Embossing Services

The card embossing process of Public Bank (Hong Kong) Limited ("the Bank") Credit Card has been outsourced to a service provider in Malaysia (the "Service Provider"). As a result, the personal data of the Bank Credit Card Cardholders may be disclosed or transferred to the Service Provider appointed by the Bank. The appointed Service Provider will adopt stringent security measures to ensure the personal data of customers are kept in strict confidence in the card embossing process. However, the personal data of customers may need to be provided or disclosed to any person to whom the Bank or any of its appointed Service Provider is under an obligation to make disclosure under the requirements of any binding law, or under and for the purpose of any guidelines issued by regulatory or other authorities (including but not limited to government departments, judiciary or tax authorities) with which the Bank or any of its Service Provider are expected to comply.

Cardholder should contact the relevant merchant if Cardholder requests to cancel the recurring payment.

  With the service, you can apply for the Octopus Automatic Add-Value Service for yourself and up to three family members, friends and relatives. Your and your supplementary Personalized Octopus Card will be automatically reloaded with HK$250 from your designated Public Bank (Hong Kong) Credit Card account when its stored value is zero or negative, or the remaining value plus the maximum negative value (HK$35) is not enough to cover the intended value deduction. Even more, all Automatic Add Value Transactions are eligible to instant cash rebate.
